I thought I would let you know it is Donny's Birthday next weekend, as you can see on the calendar. The house is completely full (including tent space in the paddock!) I'm sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone for I understand the FROG has predicted snow all this week... (fingers crossed as he hasn't been wrong all season)
Next weekend D.P is hosting the anual Sled Dog race. Visiting our units for the next couple of weeks we have 9 Alaskan Malamute's, four of which are 9 wk old fluff balls!! sooo cute, although I am not to sure if Steve (dad) thinks so, they love to howl at 6 am each morning, once one starts all nine join in! Apparently at the caravan park there are about three times the amount of dogs starting the howl at 3 or 4 in the morning, I'm counting myself lucky!

Little Bony
Calum one of my students during a lesson on Saturday requested a private lesson with me for Sunday morning.. Sunday's are usually my day off, but I couldn't pass up the $3 extra for the request! (it also makes me look to be a fantastic and dedicated worker infront of the boss!!)... He decided to bring along his sister who was completely clueless. We got to the final minutes of the lesson and headed up the Village chair lift. Whilst riding the chair, silly clueless sister decided now was a good time to play with bindings.. losing the board from her feet. Me being the great instructor thought it would be nice to fetch the board for blonde sister.. despite the shear ice cover under the chair lift...... 45 mins later, I say no more.
Dad raced all weekend. In the Pub to Pub race Saturday (XC from Hotham to D.P) he came 3rd in his age group, 23rd overall out of about 90. Pretty good, especially considering australia's top XC skiers were also competing. His results and style in the Winter triathlon on Sunday, can be seen below.. yes there is more snow after a little dump last night!
